Arizona Taxes

Arizona is known for being tax- friendly to retirees.   It has no state property tax; individual jurisdictions set their own property tax rates.  Seniors that receive less than $3,750 a year are eligible for a property tax credit of $502.  The income tax ranges from 2.59% to 4.54%. Social Security benefits are exempt from taxation. Up to $2,500 of retirement income is exempt as well. Currently, there is no tax on inheritances, gifts or estates.  There is, though, a state sales tax.
