Golfers will love the two 18-hole championship golf courses; both
are framed by spectacular scenery and are award-winning. The
Sunrise course has been rated by Golf Digest as the best course in
New Mexico, and the Sunset course has been rated the fifth best
course among new courses in the nation. Two mountain ranges,
the Jemez and the Sangre de Cristo, are just in the distance, and
the 19-acre practice facility, with a three-tiered driving range, a
putting green and two chipping greens, ensures that the play never
ends.
For those with a love of horses and riding, the Equestrian Center
is a delight and houses a riding hall, an outdoor jumping arena, an
all purpose arena and a dressage court. A variety of
breeds are accommodated here, and miles of desert riding trails are
just through the stable gates.
The stunning 46,000 square foot (which is huge) Hacienda
Clubhouse is the nerve center of Las Campanas and the gathering spot
for most social activities, including weddings and private
parties. It is a beautiful space and houses tennis courts,
spas, pools and exercise facilities.
Residents are also invited to join the Club; as they say,
membership has its privileges, and membership here is no
exception. There are several membership levels, and each
allows a certain level of access to Las Campanas' amenities.
The least expensive membership is the Equity Social Membership,
which is $60,000, plus $301 dues per month, and allows access to all
Las Campanas' amenities and facilities except for the two golf
courses. The most expensive membership is the Equity Golf
Membership, which is $90,000, plus $617 dues per month, and allows
access to all amenities including unlimited golf and no green
fees. All memberships are transferable to new owners.
Las Campanas is just 15 minutes from Santa Fe's historic town
square, so some outstanding museums, restaurants and shopping are
nearby. St. Vincent Hospital is a a
state-of-the-art regional medical center and a Level II trauma
center, providing cardiac care, comprehensive cancer treatments,
MRI and CAT scans, radiology and ultrasound services, a same-day
surgery center, a pain management center and intensive care units.
Santa Fe sits at 7,000 feet above sea level, which helps moderate
the summer heat. The sun shines, on average, 300 days a year.
It rarely rains, and there is very little humidity.
January temperatures can dip into the 30s, but the average day
temperature is 45 degrees. In July, it can reach the 90s
or higher during the day. Fall is generally the best
season, with temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.
