Nestled just south of
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains is
the Highlands of Golden Oaks Village, a new active
adult community for those 55 and better. Roughly
two hours west of New York City, residents here enjoy
the tranquility and natural beauty of this recreational
region while also being able to easily enjoy time in an exciting, vibrant city. The
Poconos have a population of nearly 300,000, but this is
still a rural area, offering a peaceful place for
retirement.
