There is no grand clubhouse, but Park Manor has a
library, a large parlor complete with fireplace, piano and
comfortable, full service dining rooms. Residents also
enjoy a beauty parlor, fitness center and business center. The
Bell Desk services include providing stamps and mailing letters,
check cashing, arranging apartment maintenance, delivering meals and
scheduling transportation. The fitness program provides
residents with a daily swim program and aerobics, medical seminars,
exercise classes and flu shots. There is also a gift
shop. Walking paths meander throughout the Park Manor property
so residents have plenty of opportunities to stay fit and
active. Recently the staff at Park Manor started offering
extended trips, including some abroad, to residents. Nashville
offers a wide abundance of activities, from fine dining to the zoo
to farmers' markets. Libraries, churches, golf and medical
facilities are all nearby. Climate in this part of the country
is hot and muggy in the summer and cool and damp in the winter;
January temperatures can dip into the 30s, and July temperatures can
top 90 degrees. The area receives 4 to 5 inches of
precipitation each month, with an occasional dusting of snow.
