| Rather than purchasing a single family home or a
town home at retirement, some retirees would rather lease an
apartment, and those seeking luxury should consider the Marque at Heritage Hunt in
Gainesville, Virginia
(population 4,500), just 40 miles east of Washington, D.C.
This age-restricted (55+) upscale
complex offers many of the same amenities as a high-end hotel,
all for one inclusive monthly price, and has a
total of 200 apartments and 32 floor plans. Why carry a mortgage when you can lease your retirement home? |

The entire building, as well as each individual residence, is
equipped with pre-wired smoke alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure
the safety of residents. Parking areas are gated, and security
cameras are positioned in the lobby. Water and sewer are
included in the rental price, and small pets are welcome.
And while the residences themselves are very nice, it is probably
the services that come with living at The Marque that make it
special. Health and medical services include salon
services, nutrition consultation, massage therapy, acupuncture
and physical training (weights, swimming, etc.). Meal services
include grocery delivery, catering and meal preparation.
Cleaning services include housekeeping (light or intense) and dry
cleaning. Pet services include dog walking (especially nice on
cold winter days), doggie day care and pet sitting. There are
also tours and trips, classes and social events throughout the
year. Interior maintenance is 24/7 and is a great
convenience when something breaks or goes out (and something always
does).
Shopping, museums, restaurants, historic battlefields and five
golf courses are all nearby. Washington, D.C. is less than a hour to
the east and provides all of the exciting big city amenities one would
expect.
The climate in this part of the world brings summer temperatures
in the 80s and low 90s, and winter temperatures in the 20s and 30s;
humidity averages 70%. The city receives 3 to 4 inches of
precipitation per month and the sun shines 50% to 60% of the
time.
Gainesville has a crime rate below the national
average. Prince William Hospital is the primary health care
facility in the area and is 11 miles away in Manassas.
