Little River is next to Myrtle Beach on the northern South Carolina coast and within Little River is Bridgewater, an active single family home and attached home community being built by Chesapeake Homes (some parts of the community have a Little River address and some have a Myrtle Beach address). Construction began in 2017 and continues today. At build out, the development should have 1,550 residences. Although not 55+, Bridgewater appeals to baby boomers and empty nesters.
The community has a handful of home collections, each with its own character, and more than three dozen floor plans from which to choose. Models have names such as The Seashore and The Sweet Escape and range from 1,454 square feet to 3,349 square feet with two to five bedrooms and two to four baths. Some homes are single story and some are two story. Open floor plans are standard, as are gourmet kitchens, front porches and attached garages.

The community is lush, dotted with lakes and trees. Residents enjoy a lovely 5,000 square foot clubhouse with state of the art fitness center. Little River is part of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of real estate famous for its white sand beaches, golf courses and shopping venues. Tourists flock to nearby Myrtle Beach year round. Bridgewater is about two and half miles from the closest beach.
